Legend is a romantic action entertainer with all commercial ingredients. Nandamuri Balakrishna's electrifying performance is the main highlight in the movie. Boyapati Srinu's gripping narration and punch dialogues, Devi Sri Prasad's melodious music and amazing background score, Ram Prasad's beautiful cinematography, Brahmanandam's comedy timing, Hamsa Nandini's item dance, Ram Laxman's action choreography, dance sequences and beautiful locales are its other attractions. Boyapati Srinu has chosen a tried and tested story, but he has made it interesting with some surprising twists and turns. He has included all masala elements like action, romance, comedy, family drama, music and a few other stuffs. His engrossing narration coupled with wonderful performances and rich production values makes the movie a good entertainer for the Nandamuri fans. Legend opens with the introduction of villain Jitendra played by Jagapathi Babu. 

Then it heads to Dubai, where the character of Balakrishna is introduced through a SUV chase scene in a desert. The director manages to engage the viewers with some action, comedy, romantic, family drama and songs sequences and punch dialogues in the first half of the movie. With an emotionally-charged interval, Legend picks up the speed. Some political-charged punch dialogues, fights between Balakrishna and Jagapathi Babu and a few sentimental scenes keep you glued to the screen in the second half. 

The climax is also good, but predictable. The format of the film is somewhat similar to Simha. The film lacks freshness in the treatment of the subject. Krishna (Balakrishna) is an NRI, who does not tolerate injustice against anyone. He is in love with Sneha (Sonal Chauhan). The couple comes to India to seek his grandmother's blessings for their wedding. But Krishna lands in a problem with Jeethendra (Jagapathi Babu), when he heads to save people in trouble in his native. Jeethendra has a rivalry with Krishna's brother Jai Dev (Balakrishna). The fight between the two forms the rest of the story. Performance: As usual, Balakrishna has delivered a wonderful performance and it is his show all through Legend. He impresses the viewers with his unique dialogue diction, action and dance moves. 

Radhika Apte has also done her best and her chemistry with Balayya is good to watch on screen. Sonal Chauhan does not have much scope for performance, but she steals the show with her glamour. Jagapathi babu is another big asset of the film. Brahmanandam's comedy timing helps the director to add entertainment quotient. Rao Ramesh, Sitara and others have also done justice to their respective roles. Technical: Legend, which has been made on mega budget of Rs 40+ crores, has rich production values. 

Devi Sri Prasad's music is the main attraction in the technical front. His song compositions are good and his background score is another big asset of the film. Ram Prasad has done wonderful picturisation, which is one among the main highlights in the film. 

Ram-Laxman's stunts are amazing. Other tech departments like dance choreography, editing and selection of costumes and locations have also delivered commendable job.

RGV film 'Rowdy' starring Manchu Mohan Babu and Manchu Vishnu in the leads, paired by Jaya Sudha and Shanvi has finished the production and gearing up for an Ugadi release. The film is being produced by Vijay Kumar R, P Gajendra Naidu and M Pardhasaradhi Naidu jointly on AV Pictures banner has Sai Karthik composing the tracks and scores.

The producers are preparing to launch the audio in Sri Vidya Nikethan,Mohan Babu's educational institution in Tirupathi on the 20th March. Its learnt that an exclusive set has already been erected inside the school premises for the event.

Rowdy trailer and the teaser of the song 'Nee Meeda Vottu' have already garnered tremendous response raising the bar for the film which is all set to hit the screens on the 28th of the film worldwide.

Kamal Haasan in Uttama Villain updates

Malayalam actor Parvathy Menon, known for her work in films like Poo andMaryan, has been confirmed to feature with Kamal Haasan in upcoming Tamil comedy Uttama Villain. Parvathy has been roped in for an important role. Southern actor Rahul Ravindran, who recently underwent gruelling dance sessions lasting nearly 24 hours for upcoming Telugu film "Hyderabad Love Story", feels dancing skills are very important for an actor.

"I feel South Indian actors can't get away with dancing. We do so many commercial films that dance has become an integral part of it. Even star actors make the effort to dance and entertain their fans. All actors should learn dance before they enter films," Rahul told.

"You can only get away with dancing if the audience accepts you for some special quality or trait. For instance, not all stars are great dancers but they are still embraced by audiences because they are special for various other reasons," he said.

Rahul says dancing in cinema is very technical.

"I'm not a terrible dancer. I also learnt dancing before I entered films, but dancing in cinema is different because it is technical. You need to choreograph each step in a song, especially duets. I would rather dance to peppy 'mass' numbers which usually involves lot of free style movements," he added.

Rahul is currently busy with two Telugu films "Hyderabad Love Story" and "Ala Ila". He is expected to start shooting for another Telugu film soon.

He wants to concentrate in Telugu for the time being

"Post my cameo in Tamil film 'Vanakkam Chennai' last year, I was offered similar roles in a few big-budget Tamil films as well but nothing excited me. I want to concentrate on doing films in Telugu now. (But) If an exciting Tamil film comes my way, I'll be happy to do it," said Rahul.

Story

Rakesh (Arya Sandeep),RJ at My FM 55.5 shies away from marriage even though his parents search for various matches. Vexed with his behavior, his parents fixes his marriage without the consent of Rakesh. When Rakesh refuses to marry, he was asked to refuse after watching the bride at the time of marriage if he don't like her.

The bride is Shravani (Neeti Taylor) and now the question is willl Rakesh agree to marry Shravani and will Shravani agree to Rakesh? To know more about it, one should watch lovedotcom on silver screen.

Performance

First things first. None of the artists came with impressive performances. Arya Sandeep lacked the qualities to become a hero. He didnot show any expressions or ease at acting. Neeti Talor too failed in action but she tried to make up for it with her glamour treat. 

Dharmavarapu Subramaniam,MS.Narayana,Jayaprakash Reddy,Ali, Tagubotu Ramesh and others tried to impress with their humour.

Technical

Production values are ok. Editing failed miserably. Music of Chakri is pretty ordinary. Cinematography is average. 

But all this is the fault of director as he failed to come with strong script.

Director seems to have been under impression that spoofs on various star heroes scenes and songs is enough for the success of the film. However he forgot that it should be complimented with interesting storyline. 

He tried to target youth but his dialogues like 'they will even sleep with boyfriends and lovers in parks,' and other double meaning dialogues didnot augur well. Jayaprakash Reddy, MS.Narayana's spoof on Bommarillu tested the patience of viewers.

Story

Ram Babu (Sunil), a coward from Bheemavaram suddenly gains courage and starts thrashing all goons in Hyderabad. But he refuses to respond to the overtures of Nandini (Ester) daughter of film director Prithvi Raj (Shayaji Shinde) making shocking revelation that he is going to die in ten days due to brain tumour. However life turns upside down when he comes to know that he has no brain tumour and there is no threat to his life. 

However he is now chased by goons who are out to eliminate him. In the meantime, Rambabu decides to accept the love of Nandini who was engaged to another guy. To find out answers on how Rambabu who is gripped with fear can solve all his problems, one should watch Bheemavaram Bullodu on silver screen.

Performance

Sunil came with credible performance even though featured in similar roles earlier. Ester didnot get much chance to perform and she even didnot get chance to dole out glamour. 

Raghu Babu,Shayaji Shinde, Posani Krishna Murali, Tagubotu Ramesh,Telangana Sakuntala justified their roles and performed according to the script.

Technical

Production values are high in the film. Cinematography is good while songs are pretty ordinary. Uday Shankar failed as a director and writer coming with 1980's storyline.

Editing could have been far better. Choreography should have been more creative.

Uday Shankar came with routine and boring script. He instead of preparing strong script, tried to score hit depending only on comedy. However all the comedy scenes are lifted from earlier films. He failed to impress with his screenplay and direction. 

Inclusion of fights and dragged climax didnot inspire confidence in movie lovers. Had Uday Shankar paid attention to handling of story then results would have been different.

She ropes in Vamsi (Navadeep) a petty thief to achieve her goals. To know more about how Bhanumati and Vamsi achieved their goals and the secret behind the title, one should watch Bangaru Kodipetta on screen. Performance Navadeep showed his ease in the role tailormade for him. Swathi impresses with her acting and expressions. Harshavardhan comes with credible performance. Stunt choreographers Ram, Lakshman entertained appearing in important roles, while Santosh shows his talent as pizza boy Venu. Technical Sahit Raja's cinematography is good. He impresses with his close shots. GV Chandrasekhar's editing could have been far better. Had he chopped off many dragging scenes, film would have been more interesting. Dialogues of Prasad Varma are interesting in bits and pieces. Manishankar's Background music is good and there are only one or two songs. Bulli Bulli Pitta song and picturisation at the end attracts all. Production values are Ok. Director should have added some comedy elements and increased the pace of the film. Story

Suryanarayana(Sivaji) tries to meet his friend Anandarao in Bheemilipatam who was in need of monetary help due to ill heath. However due to rain he was held up in the middle where he meets Kamala ( Archana).He finds out that she was forced into prostitution for her livelihood and promises to marry her after meeting his friend. 

To know Whether Suryanarayana met his friend Anandarao and whether he marries Kamala, one should watch the film in theatres.

Performance

Sivaji came with stale performance in the film. He couldn't show expressions properly in the role. Archana oozed with glamour in her role. She exhibited her dancing talent. 

However her age is clearly visible on screen. Pavala Syamala performed well. 

Technical

Production values are ok. Editing of V.Nagireddy could have been far better. KK's music is good and background score is ok. Cinematography elevated the film but there is nothing much to rave about as the entire film was shot in downpour.

Analysis

Award winning director Narasimha Nandi selected 1950 story for his film. He tried to show the conditions prevalent in the society. While he was successful to some extent in picturisation of roles, slow and dragging narration proved to be the spoiler. This formed an impression that TV serial is better than the film. 

He planned to present a art film but in his quest for commercial purpose showed the erotic side of Archana. So the main theme of the film got divered in Archana's skin show. Dialogues too are routine. Even the dragged climax did not help the film's cause.

It's no success prayanam with Kamalatho Naa Prayanam

The recently released teaser of a duet, "Nee Meeda Ottu", from Ram Gopal Varma's Telugu action-drama "Rowdy" has ignited passion in the audiences, feels actor Manchu Vishnu, who says that the song is pleasingly aesthetic.

"Ramu sir wanted every frame in the song to ignite 'intense love and admiration' between the two characters in the film. The clip has sparked intense passion in the audience for the song. I love the build-up of the song," Vishnu said in a statement.

"The well-filmed song with gentle touches and splash of water shot in a beautiful serene locale makes the characters pulsating. It is a beautiful craftsmanship of cinematography. The song's direction makes the audience feel the characters as it pleases the senses and the mind aesthetically," he added.

"Rowdy", slated to release March 28, also features Manchu Mohan Babu, Jayasudha and Shanvi Srivastav in important roles.
